Smart Bee Hives
The Smart Bee Hives project is an intelligent remote monitoring system for bee hives, developed by researchers of the Section of Modelling and Optimisation at IICT-BAS.
The system integrates IoT sensors, cloud-based data processing, and machine learning algorithms to continuously monitor key hive parameters — temperature, humidity, weight, and acoustic profiles. This enables early warnings for swarming, disease outbreaks, and adverse environmental conditions.
